Our History
Founded in 1970 by Granville and Evelyn McDonald, Granlyn began its journey as a family-owned business in Stoke. Over the years, Granlyn has expanded its operations and established a presence in West Bromwich in 1976, moving to its current location on Bank Street in 1999.
In August 2023, Granlyn Specialist Coatings was acquired by Graham O’Neill, formerly of ACIS ltd, with the aim of maintaining the values and history of the business, under new family ownership. Graham has over 44 years experience within specialist coatings distribution. Today Granlyn, stands as the leading independent coatings and consumables supplier in the West Midlands.
